ESPN reports that the Memphis Grizzlies have claimed point guard Beno Udrih off waivers after the veteran was bought out by the New York Knicks earlier this week.

Memphis has needed point guard depth since trading Jerryd Bayless to Boston for Courtney Lee. Nick Calathes filled in admirably when Mike Conley suffered an ankle injury, but they needed one more guard, and Udrih fits well.
Udrih can run the offense, knock down a few shots, and won't take a lot of work to fit into Memphis' defensive scheme.
Udrih averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 assists per game with the Knicks in 31 games this season.

Report: Knicks will sign Shannon Brown, Earl Clark to 10-day contracts Thursday
With the Miami Heat next up on the schedule, the New York Knicks are looking to bring in some guys who can defend on the perimeter. As opposed to what they have now which is essentially orange traffic cones to dribble around on your way to the lane.
Enter Earl Clark (who we told you yesterday was close to a deal) and now veteran two-guard Shannon Brown. So reports Chris Broussard at ESPN.
The New York Knicks have agreed in principle to contracts with free-agent forward Clark and free-agent guard Shannon Brown, sources told ESPN.com. The team is expected to sign both Clark and Brown to 10-day contracts on Thursday so they can have them under contract for seven games, sources say.
Both of these guys are talent upgrades on defense.
Brown is a good athlete who uses that to jump passing lanes and generally be aggressive. He has a good understanding of team defenses and when/where to rotate. The knock on him defensively is he is a bit undersized and can be exploited because of that, but he is tenacious on that end of the floor. Brown had a 10-day contract with the Spurs this season but didn’t stick.
As we told you on Tuesday, Clark also is long, athletic, a good help defender who is solid on the ball. Clark was getting minutes with Cleveland but was traded to Philly in the Spencer Hawes deal and the Sixers waived him.
Now all the Knicks need to do is fix their predictable defensive schemes.
