Redskins TE Jordan Reed is healthy after concussion symptoms marred his 2013
A concussion is temporary, but it's symptoms can linger for years. Fortunately, that's not the case for Redskins tight end Jordan Reed. After missing the final six games of the 2013 season due to reoccurrences of those symptoms, Reed has fully recovered, according to the Washington Post's Mike Jones, and is training for his second NFL season. In just nine games, Reed caught 45 passes for 499 yards and three touchdowns as a rookie.
This is especially good news since Reed has a concussion history; he suffered two while playing at the University of Florida. The Redskins could use a lot of two tight-end formations as Logan Paulsen is the much better blocker, and Reed is more proficient as a receiver. Still, Reed is a tremendous athlete who was in the middle of a breakout season before his head trauma. He really showed a good rapport with Robert Griffin III. A full season of that connection could turn Reed into a top-five fantasy tight end.
