Bucks guard O.J. Mayo has been suspended one game for punching Pelicans center Greg Stiemsma during Friday night's game.

Mayo was assessed a flagrant two for the play and ejected with 1:52 left in the first quarter of the Bucks 112-104 loss to the Pelicans.

Following the game, Mayo said of the play, "I reacted the wrong way and handled it for sure the wrong way ... "It's definitely the wrong way to conduct yourself. I've got to be better and I will be better."

Mayo will serve his suspension Saturday when the Bucks host the Washington Wizards.

Mayo, 26, is averaging 11.8 points and 2.2 assists in 49 games this season.

James Harden, Evan Turner get into shoving match in Rockets’ blowout win over Pacers (VIDEO)

Late in the third quarter Friday with the Rockets leading the Pacers by 23 points, James Harden and Evan Turner got into it a bit, and the players had to be separated after getting face-to-face and a little shoving ensued.

This appeared to be Harden intentionally agitating things, as this play had been whistled dead near half-court. But you can hardly blame him — emotions were running high at the time, with Houston putting on a clinic against the team with the league’s best record, who had handed Houston a 33-point loss back on Dec. 20.

Harden finished with 28 points in 31 minutes, and the Rockets nearly returned the favor completely, winning by a margin of 26 points.
