In a cost-cutting move, the Texans released tight end Owen Daniels in March. But now it looks like his next job will reunite him with his old head coach.

That's because, according to NFL.com's Aditi Kinkhabwala, Daniels has agreed to terms on a contract with the Ravens, who happen to employ former Texans head coach Gary Kubiak as Baltimore's offensive coordinator. Reportedly, it's a one-year contract

Though Daniels is 31 years old and missed much of the season in 2013, he had a solid season in 2012, recording 62 catches, 716 yards and six touchdowns.

Though Baltimore gave tight end Dennis Pitta a five-year, $32.5 million contract in February, Daniels will add to an offensive attack that recently re-signed free agent tackle Eugene Monroe and landed former Panthers receiver Steve Smith. Expect to see Daniels and Pitta on the field together in plenty of two-tight end sets.

The Redskins and Packers also had reportedly showed interest in Daniels, who ranks No. 32 on the CBSSports.com free agent list.

Jets sign WR Jacoby Ford

While DeSean Jackson rumors continue to fly -- is he going to the Redskins? How interested are the 49ers and the Browns? -- another wide receiver is off of the market. The Jets signed former Raiders wideout and kick returner Jacoby Ford to a deal Tuesday. Terms of the deal weren't immediately disclosed.Ford, a speed merchant, has had a difficult time staying on the field the past three seasons. He missed all of 2012 due to a Lisfranc injury and has missed 26 of his past 48 games. He'll turn 27 years old in July.

Ford had a lot of fantasy upside entering 2011, coming off of a 2010 rookie campaign in which he scored seven total touchdowns. He has scored twice since and was a healthy scratch at the end of last season for the Raiders. He'll vie for a roster spot in New York. The interest he built up in fantasy circles as a rookie seems like forever ago.
