Report: Lions RB Reggie Bush unlikely to play Sunday, aiming for Thanksgiving return
Reggie Bush said earlier this week that he would play against the Patriots, but it sounds like he has pushed his ETA back a bit. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora said Saturday that he's "hearing" Bush will be a "no-go" for Week 12 in New England. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio reported soon afterward that Bush actually has his eyes set on playing on Thanksgiving versus the Bears.Bush has been bothered by an ankle injury since Week 5. He practiced in limited fashion throughout this week, but it appears he will miss his fourth of the Lions' last six games.
Not that fantasy owners should be missing Reggie much at this point. He has just one touchdown and one game with more than 70 yards from scrimmage this year. His presence will pretty much wipe out Theo Riddick's fantasy value, but Joique Bell should remain Detroit's top RB. He was impressive in Week 11, gaining 115 total yards against the Cardinals, the team that has permitted the fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season. He should be deployed as an RB2 in 12-team leagues versus the Patriots.
