Colts TE Dwayne Allen suffers what's believed to be high ankle sprain

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Indianapolis Colts could be without their starting tight end for a while, as it's believed that Dwayne Allen suffered a high ankle sprain in the Colts Sunday night dismantling at the hands of the New England Patriots. In his absence, TE Coby Fleener filled in nicely, catching seven balls for 144 yards.

Fleener is an immediate add if you can get him. High ankle sprains are never easy to project a return from. We all remember WR Roddy White dealing with his basically all season last year. Hopefully, it's a mild sprain and he'll miss minimal time. With the Colts taking on the Jaguars in Week 12, it's probably a good week to let him rest and recover. Allen owners trying to scrap into the playoffs will hate to see him miss a juicy matchup like this. For Allen owners who are locked into a playoff berth, it's probably best. While QB Andrew Luck will mis his big red-zone target (Allen has caught a TD in all but three games this season), Fleener is a worthy replacement for any time that Allen may miss.
