Titans TE Delanie Walker practices Saturday, still needs clearance to play
Titans tight end Delanie Walker cleared a major hurdle on Saturday in his effort to play in Week 11. But ultimate clearance still eludes him.Walker practiced in limited fashion today. It was the first time he's practiced since sustaining a concussion last week versus the Ravens. He is listed as questionable for Monday night's showdown with the Steelers, but Walker's availability will hinge on the opinion of an independent neurologist who must give Walker the all-clear before he can suit up again.
The "Q" tag is rather meaningless. It all comes down to how Walker feels over the next couple of days and what that doctor says. We may not receive a definitive word on Walker's status until after's Sunday's action, so he is extremely risky play. Picking up Heath Miller represents your only realistic insurance option if you have your heart set on keeping Walker in your lineup. The Titans' other TEs are not worth your time. Pittsburgh has allowed seven touchdowns to tight ends this year.
