Blake Griffin charged with misdemeanor battery

Blake Griffin, a man alleged, slapped him in the face at a Las Vegas night club last month.

Police investigated, and they determined enough evidence existed to charge Griffin.

The Clark County D.A. has now charged Griffin with one count of misdemeanor battery.

Court case alleges Blake Griffin battered DANIEL SCHUMAN by squeezing his hand and shoulder and/or slapping him on the face.

A Nevada misdemeanor battery crime with no substantial bodily harm can carry six months of jail and/or a $1,000 fine or community service.

The Clippers have no comment on the Blake Griffin charge.

The Clippers host the Suns on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. local time.

Remember, this is only one step of the process. There’s a lower standard for charging someone for a crime than convicting him or her, and Griffin has not been found guilty of anything.

For now, expect the courts to sort this out before the NBA gets involved.
