More NFL offseason: Mock Drafts | Prospect Rankings | Pro Days | Top free agents

The Saints offseason isn't off to a good start, at least if you ask tight end Jimmy Graham. Less than an hour after the news surfaced that New Orleans would be releasing running back Darren Sproles, Graham sent out a tweet saying he was 'disappointed' by the Saints offseason so far.

Graham may be starting to wonder who besides him is going to catch passes in New Orleans next season. Besides Sproles, the Saints also cut wide receiver Lance Moore on Friday. That duo combined to catch 108 passes for 1,061 yards and four touchdowns last season.

There's also a chance New Orleans could cut or trade Pierre Thomas and as if that's not enough, there's also that whole franchise tag thing. Graham was tagged as a tight end, but feels that he should be tagged as a wide receiver. Under the tight end tag, Graham will earn $7.035 million in 2014. A wide receiver playing under the franchise tag will earn $12.312 million in 2014.

In the Saints defense, if Graham wants more money, they have to free up that money so they can give it to him.

Troubled WR Davone Bess cut by the Browns

Just one year after landing in Cleveland via a trade with the Dolphins, Devone Bess has been cut by the Browns. Bess still had two years left on his three year deal and will now enter the free agent pool.

Looks like one year is the magic number for job security in Cleveland. The Browns actually had good reasons to cut Bess, who has been dealing with myriad off-field issues of late. Bess has been arrested multiple times and was briefly hospitalized against his will. Some of these incidents actually happened before the trade to Cleveland, and it's unlikely the Browns were aware of Bess' problems before signing him to an extension. Most recently, Bess was arrested for allegedly assaulting an officer at the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood Fla. airport.Bess caught 42 passes for 382 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games this season. Before playing for any team this upcoming season, he will likely face league dicipline. We hope that before thinking of a return to football, Bess can get himself some help and get healthy.
