Yahoo Sports reports that Houston Rockets guard Patrick Beverley will not undergo surgery to repair or remove his torn meniscus, and will be available to return this season. The Houston Chronicle first reported the development Sunday.

Beverley will reportedly be considered "week to week" as a status, and the mov could mean he's available for the playoffs. The Rockets would luck out in a big way if that were the case, as Beverley's defense will be pivotal no matter who the Rockets face in the first or second round.

Beverley is averaging 9.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists this season for the Rockets.

Roy Hibbert is going to get his now, apparently

Roy Hibbert has actually developed a decent mid-range shot. He’s made 43-of-100 attempts between 15 and 19 feet entering the Pacers game against the Spurs tonight. It’s a nice safety-valve shot when opponents leave him wide open and the shot clock is winding down.

But when he’s closely guarded and there are 13 seconds on the shot clock? That’s just selfish.

(hat tip: Jared Wade of 8 Points, 9 Seconds)
