Despite shoring up the position with a trade for Matt Schaub, the Raiders are very much still in the market for a young franchise quarterback. They're at least taking a look at Johnny Manziel.
And they're looking at him soon, with Adam Schefter of ESPN reporting Manziel is in Oakland meeting with Raiders leadership Sunday night and Monday.
Manziel was in Dallas for the Final Four, having been spotted with Drake at AT&T Stadium, home of the Cowboys. (See: above and below.)

In our latest round of 2014 NFL Mock Drafts, three of our five mocks have Manziel landing with the Raiders (Pat Kirwan has it happening in a trade with the Buccaneers; Dane Brugler and I have Johnny Football off the board already).
There's not that many dots to connect here, really. The Raiders need a quarterback, the Raiders need an infusion of talent and the Raiders need a new identity and reason for fans to get excited. Manziel would fit the bill and, man, couldn't you see Al Davis taking him at No. 5?
Whether Mark Davis, the Raiders owner and Al's son, feels the same remains to be seen. It's conceivable he falls in love with Manziel as a guy to turn the franchise around and pushes GM Reggie McKenzie in that direction.
It's possible they won't have a shot at the former Texas A&M star anyway, if the Texans, Jaguars or Browns are high on Manziel.
But the Raiders are currently checking out a quarterback who's very much in play for them at No. 5.

WR Mike Williams traded to Bills, reunites with college coach
Mike Williams is no longer the Buccaneers' problem. They traded him for a sixth-round pick on Friday to the Buffalo Bills, who are coached by Doug Marrone. The same Doug Marrone who was the head coach at Syracuse University in 2009 when Williams played there -- before he quit the team that NovemberWilliams put up good numbers in 2010 and 2012, but he has become more known for his missteps/bad luck off of the field in 2013-14.It came to light in January that Williams was fined more than $200,000 by the Bills last season for missing mandatory meetings and scheduled rehab appointments for his torn hamstring. He was arraigned in February on charges of misdemeanor criminal mischief and trespassing, to which he pled not guilty.Williams was alleged stabbed in the thigh by his brother in March, and he is facing a lawsuit of more than $50,000 for allegedly causing a kitchen fire that damaged a home he rented last summer.
Putting all of the off-field stuff aside, I see this as a lateral move for Williams' fantasy value. Instead of being the No. 2 wideout on a team with Josh McCown or Mike Glennon as its quarterback, Williams is probably now the No. 2 wideout on a team with E.J. Manuel as its quarterback. It's a good get for Manuel as Williams is a big target who has scored 25 touchdowns in 54 career games, but Williams is more of a low-end WR3.
