The free agent market has dried up quite a bit as we're about two weeks away from training camp starting. Greg Monroe signed his qualifying offer with the Detroit Pistons, the Phoenix Suns are still waiting on Eric Bledsoe to make a decision with his, and you're seeing a lot of teams filling out the final empty depth chart spots on their roster with signings. One signing you won't apparently see is free agent scorer Jordan Crawford joining an NBA team.
Hupu.com (via HoopsHype) is reporting the former Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics' guard will sign with the Chinese Basketball Association's Xinjiang Flying Tigers. They say he's arrived in Urumqi and began training already.
You may remember that Jordan Crawford won an Eastern Conference Player of the Week honor during the 2013-14 season while he was with the Celtics. He averaged 13.7 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.1 rebounds in 39 games with the Celtics last season. In the middle of January, he was traded with MarShon Brooks to the Warriors in a three-team deal that brought guard Toney Douglas to the Miami Heat, and Joel Anthony and multiple draft picks to the Celtics.
In 42 games with the Warriors last season, Crawford saw his playing time pretty much cut in half (from 30.7 minutes per game with the Celtics to 15.7 minutes per game with Golden State). He averaged 8.4 points, 1.4 assists, and 1.5 rebounds for the Warriors and played 57 minutes over six games in the playoffs.
The 2014-15 season would have been Crawford's fifth season in the NBA.

Two days after signing him, Nets void contract of Hamady Ndiaye due previous injury
After a solid showing for Senegal at the World Cup the Brooklyn Nets decided to give Hamady Ndiaye a chance. This week they gave him a non-guaranteed contract, so Ndiaye and Jerome Jordan were going to compete in training camp for the scraps of minutes at the five not soaked up by Brook Lopez, Mason Plumlee and a little Kevin Garnett.
Friday the Nets announced they waived Ndiaye. The official statement reads: “Brooklyn Nets General Manager Billy King announced today that the team has voided the contract of Hamady Ndiaye due to Ndiaye failing the required physical.”
Interesting considering he just averaged almost 17 minutes a night for Senegal in their World Cup run to the second round. What gives? Well, his elbow according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
There are no winners when a player is injured, but this does make Jordan’s path a little more clear.
Ndiaye can either sign a deal overseas now or see if another NBA team comes calling and is willing to wait for him to heal. He’ll have options.
