Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ankle) limited Tuesday; expected to play Thursday
Bears all-pro wide receiver Brandon Marshall was again limited in practice Tuesday, nursing a sore ankle. He should still be a full go when Chicago takes on Detroit in the first of Thursday's Thanksgiving Day triple-header. Marshall has put together an atypical season, hauling in just 52 passes for 618 yards and eight touchdowns.
Marshall appeared to be getting it going after back-to-back games of more than 25 fantasy points in PPR leagues in Week 10 and Week 11. However, he regressed in what should have been a favorable matchup with Tampa Bay in Week 12. His season stat line ranks him 23rd among receivers in PPR leagues. While that's not terrible, it's nowhere near what you expected when you took him in the first or second round of your draft. The fact remains, as long as he's healthy, you still use him. He has the ability to get you 25 to 30 points any given week. His biggest negative is that his quarterback can't decide if he's Bart Starr or Bart Simpson. When Cutler plays well, Marshall benefits. We can only hope that this week, on national television, Cutler doesn't embarrass the entire city of Chicago.
