It usually doesn't take much to rile up the New York City tabloids, and if the page designers and editors disapprove of the job you're doing as a football coach, you can expect to read all about it the next day.

And thus, you knew they'd have something extra special for Jets coach Rex Ryan, whose team took a horrendous loss to the Bills on Sunday, giving his critics even more ammunition about why his job should be taken from him.

As such, here's the back page of the New York Post.

It's a conclusion that's simply waiting to happen. Not that it's all Ryan's fault -- no, much of the blame for this team's debacle of a season lies with general manager John Idzik. But when you have the record the Jets have managed this year and you're far removed from back-to-back AFC title game appearances, the reality of unemployment likely will make itself known to you sooner instead of later.

And just what is the Jets record at this moment?

And how about this for an extra insult?

Ravens TE Owen Daniels (knee surgery) to miss at least one game

A second Baltimore Ravens tight end will miss time in 2014 due to injury. After losing Dennis Pitta for a second straight year to a hip injury, the Ravens have now lost backup Owen Daniels for at least a week after he underwent an arthroscopic procedure to clean his knee out on Friday. Head coach John Harbaugh was optimistic that Daniels may not miss much time at all after the surgery. "After that (the surgery) he has a chance to come back," Harbaugh said. "So, it'll be week to week after that and it won't be many weeks at all. It could actually be next week. That's an optimistic approach, but it could happen."In Pitta's absence, Daniels has been the Ravens' third-best pass-catcher with 27 receptions, 275 yards and three touchdowns. While he is out, rookie Crockett Gillmore will get the start at tight end. Gilmore was a third-round pick for the Ravens in May's draft.

This has to be frustrating for offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak. No OC has targeted the tight end more in the past three years, and now he's down to his third-stringer. Hopefully, Daniels will indeed miss only one week, two weeks tops. While he's out, QB Joe Flacco will likely lean on WRs Steve Smith and Torrey Smith. However, due to the fact that Kubiak does like using the tight end in the passing game, Gillmore is a deep sleeper and might be a decent value play in daily leagues. The Bengals allow the most fantasy points to tight ends of any team in the league, and at 6-foot-6, Gillmore could be an attractive red-zone target.
