The majority of the public believes Roger Goodell should keep his job as NFL Commissioner. (USATSI) The majority of the public believes Roger Goodell should keep his job as NFL Commissioner. (USATSI)

Despite the outrage against Roger Goodell, a poll of fans taken by the Associated Press indicates the public is fine with the NFL commissioner keeping his job.

Only 32 percent of fans polled believe Goodell should lose his job over the domestic-violence issue the league's dealt with the past few months.

The rest, 66 percent of the fans polled, believe Goodell should keep his job.

Fans don't necessarily believe Goodell did a good job with the Ray Rice case, however. Forty-two percent of the fans polled disapproved with Goodell's handling of Rice's matter.

Frankly, that's a lower than we would've expected.

Of course, 42 percent didn't care one way or another while 15 percent of fans polled agreed with how Goodell handled the matter.

One of the most interesting aspects of the poll? Whether Rice should be allowed to play again. Nearly half, 49 percent of fans polled, believe Rice should eventually be allowed to play again after missing some more time.

Texans RB Arian Foster expected to play Thursday

When asked Tuesday if RB Arian Foster would be ready to go for Thursday's matchup against the Colts, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien replied: "Oh yeah."

Foster is coming off a monster game against the Cowboys in which he posted 172 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns on 25 total touches. As expected, the Texans are limiting Foster's practice reps to keep him fresh. Foster remains a must-start RB1 when healthy. The Colts are 16th overall in fantasy points allowed to RBs, granting an average of 20 points per game to opposing backs.
