The refs wouldn't let Percy Harvin score on Monday. (USATSI) The refs wouldn't let Percy Harvin score on Monday. (USATSI)

Everyone who plays fantasy football has at least one sob story to tell, but no matter what you've gone through, it's going to be hard to top what happened to Percy Harvin fantasy owners on Monday night.

Harvin scored 3.4 points in most standard leagues, but it could have been so, so, so much more if only the refs didn't hate him. The Seahawks wide receiver had three touchdowns called back, something that was so crazy, not even Harvin himself could believe what happened.

"I couldn't believe it," Harvin said after Seattle's 27-17 win over the Redskins. "Everybody on the sideline was saying they've never seen that happen. We just had so many penalties tonight for whatever reason. We have to clean that up."

The fact that it happened in a Monday game is what makes it so rough, Monday night's are your last chance to pull out a come-from-behind win.

Lets go through the heartbreak in order.

The first non-touchdown came in the second quarter on a 16-yard sweep.

Fantasy owners rejoiced, only to have that joy ripped way seconds later when Seahawks offensive lineman James Carpenter was called for holding.

The holding penalty cost the Seahawks 10-yards, but Harvin wasn't fazed. On the very next play, the Seahawks went back to Harvin, who caught a short pass from Russell Wilson and took it in the end zone for a 26-yard score.

Guess what? That one didn't count either. Harvin's second touchdown was called back because of a false start -- on Harvin.

By now, some fantasy owners were probably crying, but the torture wasn't even over because in the fourth quarter, Harvin scored again on a 41-yard bomb.

That one was called back too, on a penalty that almost seemed to be called just so Harvin's touchdown wouldn't count. Carpenter was flagged for 'hitting a player while he's on the ground.'

Even Harvin was in disbelief at that point.

"The first one, I was cool, I was like, 'OK.' And when the second one happened, I was like, 'Wow.' And then when the third one happened, I just flipped my hands down, I couldn't believe it," Harvin said. "But at the same time, penalties are part of football. We would definitely like to have them back. Today, the penalties kind of got the best of us."

As you can imagine, fantasy owners were also in disbelief.

Even people who didn't own Harvin were in shock.

The non-touchdowns did work out for some people.

Finally, I should probably point out that person most mad about all of this is Harvin himself. Not only did he lose three touchdowns, but he started himself on his fantasy team.

UPDATE: Giants RB Rashad Jennings diagnosed with sprained MCL

Updating a post from earlier today, Giants running back Rashad Jennings has been diagnosed with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Head coach Tom Coughlin wouldn't put a time frame on how long Jennings will be sidelined and said Monday that he will consider Jennings' status from day to day until told otherwise.

However, fantasy owners should not consider Jennings as day-to-day. He is dealing with the same injury that will have Ryan Mathews out of action for four to five weeks, although we don't know if Jennings' sprain is as severe. At the least, it's very doubtful he will play Sunday night against the Eagles. Rookie running back Andre Williams got 20 carries yesterday, so the team obviously trusts him to shoulder the load. He will also receive all of the goal-line opportunities thanks to his 230-pound frame. He should be owned in all leagues and looks like a solid RB2 this week against Philadelphia's bottom-10 run defense.
