Bucks’ Khris Middleton ‘shocked’ to receive DNP-CD against Pistons

Khris Middleton began the season as a member of Milwaukee’s starting lineup. After a 1-2 start, head coach Jason Kidd switched things up, installing Ersan Ilyasova as a starter and bringing Middleton off the bench for two straight games.

Then Friday night happened, where for reasons unknown, Middleton didn’t play at all.

Predictably, with such a decision coming seemingly out of nowhere, he wasn’t taking it too well after his team’s 98-95 loss to the Pistons.

Middleton appeared in all 82 games for the Bucks last season, and through Milwaukee’s first five this season, had averaged 10.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 26.4 minutes per contest.

Suddenly being disappeared from the lineup altogether seems a bit drastic, and Kidd likely has his reasons. But they should probably be communicated to Middleton to avoid this becoming an issue in the locker room at this early stage of the season.
