After upsetting the Steelers on Sunday, the Jets are now 2-8 on the season, including 1-1 with Michael Vick as their starter.
The Jets have no hope of winning the division and little hope of making the playoffs, but could all of that have been different if Rex Ryan would have made the decision to start Vick earlier in the season?
Vick wasn't specifically asked about the playoffs on Sunday, but he was asked if he thought the team would have a few more wins if he had been the starter all season.
"In my heart, yes," Vick said, via NJ.com. "Yeah, I mean, to sit here and say no would show a lack of confidence in myself and my teammates. But absolutely, I think if I was starting from Day 1, then maybe it would've been an opportunity. But that wasn't the case. I wasn't put in that situation. The team wasn't put in that situation."
Vick seemed to give the Jets offense a spark against Pittsburgh. The veteran quarterback was making plays through the air -- a 67-yard touchdown pass to T.J. Graham -- and on the ground.
Just ask Steelers defensive back Brice McCain about Vick's ground game. McCain found out in the first quarter that Vick still has a little something left in the tank.
Although Vick thinks the team might have won more games with him had he started earlier in the season, he understands why Ryan went with Geno Smith. It basically comes down to the fact that Vick is 34 and not the Jets' quarterback of the future.
"The (Jets) coaches made the decisions, and I totally understood everything that was taking place," Vick said. "It was all about developing a young quarterback (Smith), mentoring a young quarterback and giving him every opportunity to succeed."
Anyway, Vick kind of believes the Jets would have more wins, but don't tell other people that.
"Please don't go out and say, 'Mike Vick felt like if he was the starter, then we would be winning,' because that's not what I'm saying right now," Vick said. "I'm saying in front of all these cameras that, if given an opportunity, yeah, I believe our team would've maybe won some games."
Got it.
Vick will have a chance to win even more games because it's unlikely Ryan will be pulling him anytime soon after the way he played against the Steelers.
Michael Vick has as many wins in two starts as Geno Smith had in eight starts. (USATSI)

Dolphins RB Lamar Miller to be limited in Week 10 if he plays
Miami Dolphins' reporter Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reported Saturday, via his Twitter feed, that lead running back Lamar Miller (shoulder) is expected to be active but will likely be limited in the Dolphins' Week 10 game versus Detroit.Miller leads the Dolphins in rushing yards on the season with 518 and has added five touchdowns. Daniel Thomas and Damien Williams will likely get an increased amount of work, sharing the load with Miller.
Miller has been a decent fantasy option this season, ranking 13th in PPR leagues. He's on pace for 1,036 yards and 10 touchdowns, but being limited against a Lions team that allows the second-fewest rushing yards per game in the league will likely knock him off that pace.Miller's status should be monitored leading up to the 1 p.m. Eastern kickoff. With so many teams on bye this week, it's likely that, if active, you're using Miller if you have him. Just lower your expectations a bit. He's someone to avoid in daily/weekly leagues.
