It's been a year since a Chiefs wide receiver caught a touchdown pass. Literally. Dec. 8, 2013, was the last time someone in a Kansas City uniform claiming to be a wideout found themselves in the end zone holding the football for a score.

In a 45-10 win over the Redskins that Sunday, Dwayne Bowe caught a 21-yard pass from Alex Smith to put the Chiefs up 17-0 and from there it's been all downhill.

Smith would throw four more passing touchdowns in 2013, hitting Jamaal Charles twice (once in the Washington game), Dexter McCluster once and Sean McGrath once.

This season Smith's thrown 14 touchdowns, none of which were to wide receivers.

Three more games to go or else this is going to extend into 2015.

Bears WR Brandon Marshall (ribs, lung) done for the season

Bears WR Brandon Marshall remains hospitalized after suffering two fractured ribs and a lung injury during Thursday night's loss versus the Dallas Cowboys. The Bears have confirmed that he will not play again this season. The injury occurred in the second quarter when Marshall received a hit from Cowboys safety Barry Church. Specifically, Church's knee hit Marshall flush in the lower back. Marshall was able to walk off of the field on his own power but was soon taken to the locker room before being escorted to the hospital via ambulance. The 30-year-old's season will end after logging 61 receptions for 721 yards to go along with eight touchdowns. The veteran WR has had an up-and-down season but is currently ranked as the 17th at his position in leagues that utilize a PPR scoring system. This is obviously bad news for owners who were relying on Marshall for their championship run. WR Alshon Jeffery now will become the team's undisputed No. 1 WR and carry plenty of upside going forward. Second-year WR Marquess Wilson will likely take on Marshall's role with Josh Morgan moving into the slot for the Bears.
