Rex Ryan's bluster is indefatigable. At least it was until Monday anyway.

The Jets coach, on the heels of a tough, gross 16-13 loss to the Dolphins on Monday Night Football, finally looked beaten and broken when he stepped to the podium after the game.

Talking about his team's season, Rex called the Jets record "a joke."

"We missed a couple of field goals we don't normally miss. The blocked punt…it just wasn't our normal game on special teams," Rex said. "That's probably the difference in this game. I feel sick. Our guys played great for the most part in a lot of areas. We can't buy a win."

The joke comment was specifically about running back Chris Johnson (maybe he's a CJ fantasy owner??) and topping 100 yards.

"Chris Johnson did a tremendous job. We wanted to have some fresh backs at the end of the year and we got them," Rex said before pausing in rather sad fashion. "I can't believe we're 2-10. It's a joke."

Asked what he told his team after the game, Ryan wouldn't go into specifics but offered everyone is "hurting" before summing up his run in New York rather succinctly.

"I can't tell you. It's just…everybody in there is hurting," Rex said. "Hurting for each other, for our fans. We'd do anything for a win.

"It wasn't meant to be, I guess."

Poor Rex Ryan is totally defeated at this point. Poor Rex Ryan is totally defeated at this point. (USATSI)

UPDATE: Panthers RB DeAngelo Williams has broken finger

Update: Williams has been officially diagnosed with a broken right middle finger. He is listed as day-to-day for now.---------------------------------------------------------------------------Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said Monday he believes that running back DeAngelo Williams broke his right hand in Sunday's 31-13 loss to Minnesota. Williams finished the game but was ineffective, rushing for just 21 yards on seven carries.Williams has missed significant time this season due to hamstring and ankle issues and has compiled only 219 rushing yards in six games. He has not reached the end zone in 2014.

While it's unfortunate for Williams, it helps fantasy owners of RB Jonathan Stewart. The Panthers' backfield has been a source of fantasy frustration for what seems like a decade. Neither back can stay healthy. When they are, it seems like it's at the same time, creating a split. With Stewart healthy and Williams perhaps sidelined, this actually opens up the door for Stewart to be used as a possible flex play, especially over the next two weeks. In Weeks 14 and 15, the Panthers play the Saints and Buccaneers, respectively. Both defenses rank in the bottom 10 teams versus fantasy running backs.
